The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD) is a nationally recognized leader in providing innovative recreational experiences and social enrichment opportunities for all ages and cultures. It addresses evolving community needs through safe, attractive parks, trails, landscapes, and facilities, fostering health, wellness, and community connections.
Responsibilities
- Managing over 2,500 acres of parks, trails, and open spaces for public use.
- Offering programs including aquatics, sports, arts, senior services, and youth activities.
- Operating community centers, nature centers, and special events to promote social engagement.
- Providing transportation services for seniors and disabled individuals.
- Maintaining landscapes, facilities, and recreational amenities for safety and accessibility.
- Collaborating with partners for environmental education and conservation efforts.
- Registering participants for classes and activities while ensuring inclusive programming.
